MEMORIES AND IMAGINATION
This collection is drawn from my memories and mixed with a little imagination using the nostalgic medium of books as my material to translate intinctively my ideas into form by hand alone. This close connection with the material resonates with the personal thoughts and experiences I have put into the sculptures creating pieces that draw out other peoples memories and imagination as well as my own.
This sculpture is made with a book of road maps built up through folding cutting and layering selected areas that Annaliese Foster has visited with emphasis on places that hold strong memories.

A scultpture formed out of a book called 'Forest Lovers' inspired by the title and the embosed cover, she created a scene from her imagination of the last bird flying the nest, leaving behind only a baby feather in it's wake.
